Maurice Louca is a pioneer Egyptian experimental sound artist. Founding member of leading sound band Bikya, and composer of a number of pieces for films and theatre for known Egyptian and world filmmakers, Maurice released his debut album Garraya in 2009 as an audiovisual fascinating performance and audio album with Cairo based label 100copies.

The charged, concrete melodies and rhythm of Louca�s work create music that borders the vastness of landscapes, and the repetitive intensity of a confined space. �
